Please check out this blog entry for Kathryn Stripling Byer, one of my favorite poets (former NC state poet laureate).  I recently designed a card for the Land Trust Local Foods Gala that had her poem on the inside.  Kay Byer's blog post has some wonderful photos of the table settings.  The photo here is from Kate Parkerson who is with the Land Trust. 

Read the food descriptions - wow, I was out of town and not able to attend on July 25 as we were in Ely MN having a great time visiting and canoeing but the food sounds absolutely scrumptious!  I will be sure not to miss it next year. 

The photo for the card is a pinhole camera photo - I spent an enjoyable afternoon by myself in Ron Arps Vegenuie Garden with my coffee can cameras looking for shots.  Fortunately I got a cabbage image - incidentally one of my favorite foods - I LOVE cole slaw.
